Half of the $60B RWA market is dead on arrival.

Half of the $60B RWA market is dead on arrival. BeInCrypto just published the data https://lnkd.in/dmPf5sND nobody wants to talk about. 910 out of 1,289 tokenized RWA assets — worth $32.9 billion — recorded zero weekly transfers. Not low activity. Zero. Only 379 assets actually moved. This isn't a market problem. It's a product problem. Most of these projects were built around one goal: launch a token and raise money. Not solve a real investor need. And here's the uncomfortable truth: Your target investor already has access to traditional finance. They can buy Treasuries, real estate funds, and private credit through existing channels — without blockchain complexity. So if your RWA product doesn't solve a specific problem they actually have — faster settlement, lower minimums, cross-border access, 24/7 liquidity — you're not competing with TradFi. You're just adding friction. Zero transfers = zero demand. Zero demand = the market told you something. Are you listening? The RWA projects that will survive this cycle are the ones built around investor utility — not founder ambition. If you're building an RWA project and can't answer "what specific problem does this solve for an investor who already has alternatives?" — that's the first thing to fix. That's exactly what I help founders figure out before they go to market. 🔗 RWAtor — Project Assessment for RWA Founders #RWAtor #RWA #Tokenization #RealWorldAssets #RWAFounders #AssetTokenization #Web3 #BlockchainFinance #InvestorCommunication #TradFi #ProductMarketFit

  • A significant portion of the tokenized RWA market, valued at $32.9 billion, shows zero weekly transfers, indicating a lack of demand and a product problem rather than a market issue.
  • Many RWA projects prioritize fundraising over solving genuine investor needs, failing to offer advantages over traditional finance (TradFi) like faster settlement or lower minimums.
  • Successful RWA projects must focus on specific investor utility and address existing problems, rather than founder ambition, to survive and thrive.
